Howden oil injected twin screw compressors are used for liquid chilling, direct refrigeration and for process gas applications involving hydrocarbons, fuel gas or other specialist application.

In some instances, hydrocarbon gases, such as propane, butane or propylene will be used as an industrial refrigerant.

H Range Compressor

Many applications demand that the gas being compressed remains free from oil contamination.

The Howden oil free twin screw compressor isolates the gas being handled from the compressor oil system by various combinations of shaft seals.

As there is no lubricating film present between the rotor surfaces, timing gears are fitted to prevent the rotors touching each other. These gears are external to the main pressure casing, therefore the gas stream is isolated from the gear's associated lubrication.

These features guarantee a complete oil free gas delivery.
